Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Sales Manager position is responsible for component sales for the H-E Parts Dom-Ex group. Leads and manages the Dom-Ex sales team of CSR and PRS salespeople, including their daily tasks, call schedules, CSR utilization, reporting, training, handling customer complaints, etc.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to HEPI policies and statutory regulations and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • Conduct outbound communications with global customers upselling H-E Parts International product offering and educating customers on product value and functionality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Has direct sales responsibilities related to larger component sales opportunities.
  • Manages the activities and priorities of the logistics manager.
  • Responsible for establishing component pricing on all parts and components sold and or sourced.   
  • Works closely with inventory and service groups to establish a coordinated flow and priorities through the service and warehouse areas.
  • Works with other H-E global divisions to supply needed core components for their internal needs and their local customer requests.
  • Travels to mining regions promoting Dom-Ex product through H-E groups and directly to mining operations.
  • Implements promotions of inventory buys to keep H-E groups and customers aware of recent inventory purchases. 
  • Works closely with General Manager on equipment and component acquisitions to satisfy our inventory needs.
  • Other duties/special projects as assigned.

DECISION MAKING:

This Position requires daily decision making that impacts all departments. 

INTERNAL/EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

  • Department managers
  • Current/potential customers.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 4-year Degree or Commensurate Experience preferred
  • 2-5 years sales experience within the industry preferred.
  • Technical understanding of the product and components.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records
  • MS Office Suite (*MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint), and Internet.
  • Experience in marketing through utilization of various strategies.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in the mining and/or industrial sector.   
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner including the use of effective conflict resolution.
  • Work independently and be a team player within the department and the organization.
  • Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and be a problem solver.
  • Work completely and accurately under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Work in a fast pace environment and prioritize multiple work assignments

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard.   • Sitting for prolonged periods of time - up to 8 hours or more per day.
  • Appearance at all times must represent the company image.
  • Work area may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
     

WORK ENVIRONMENT:


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving objects (materials handled and transported throughout the plant via cranes, fork trucks and other employees). The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The employee is also frequently exposed to sharp and abrasive edges which may result in scrapes, cuts and bruises. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
