Job Description:


This role is a working supervisor position that is focused on leading the kitting phase of the operations flow within the component reman production team as well as all shipping and receiving processes. The kitting phase will be focused on the issuing and tracking of all incoming part demands (procurement & sub-c) for all reman projects & work orders and the assessment of risk to delivery timelines.  


This position is heavily reliant on effective communication, time management and organizational skills that complement and support a collaborative team environment.

  • Provide direction and guidance for the assigned warehouse team that meets the expected performance measures (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery and Employee Engagement)
  • Supervise the shipping and receiving processes ensuring an accurate account for our inventory and warehouse controls.
  • Supervise all employees to ensure adherence to all Corporate and Site policies and ensure a safe and productive working environment for all employees.
  • Lead the day-to-day warehouse plan to meet delivery expectations.
  • Execute & Track all WO kitting processes including the issuing of material, sub-c repairs and transfer orders– focused on 100% kitting to support the build process.
  • Support the full cycle count process from weekly checks to annual cycle counts.
  • Actively Participate within the Health and Safety Committee and all the requirements within to ensure the business fosters a proactive safety culture.
  • Facilitate a Daily Toolbox meeting with the team focused on safety and production status.
  • Participate in weekly production meetings with the operations & sales teams providing progress updates on projects and delivery plans.
  • Participate in three-way meetings to resolve urgent project issues that best supports our customer and/or our business.
  • Participate in the recruitment of all employees into the team and ensure each employee has meet the on-boarding requirements.
  • Ensure all resources are adequately trained in their assigned roles of responsibilities.
  • Ensure proper performance management processes are achieved with each employee and ensure clear expectations and goals are set.  
  • Ensure timely reporting of all department key performance indicators with defined analysis & recovery plans. KPI Focus on: Cost, Quality, Delivery and Safety.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and encourage a proactive approach to our process development.



Position will be required to make decisions that will directly impact the customer (Internal & External) and the operations priorities.  



Position requires collaboration internally with department leaders and management, and externally with suppliers and vendors as required.



A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required.   Specific Training in Warehouse Management Practices with minimum 5 years supervisory experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Background in Mining, Forestry, Marine or Construction fields would also be an asset. Basic computer skills including MS Office, CRM, ERP & Internet is required

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, feel with their hands, reach and handle materials weighing up to 10 pounds. The employee will frequently need to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, walk and handle materials weighing 10-20 pounds. On occasion the employee will need to handle materials weighing 20-50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving objects (materials handled and transported throughout the plant via cranes, fork trucks and other employees). The employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles. The employee is also frequently exposed to sharp and abrasive edges which may result in scrapes, cuts and bruises. The employee is occasionally exposed to humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
