Reporting to the General Manager, and with two direct reports (Advisor and Payroll) this position provides generalist HR Management support to the Mining Solutions divisions across Australia.

 

Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership support to the GM and local management team and contributing to corporate strategic activities.
  • Delivering best practice HR advisory support to operational managers and leaders.
  • Lead and develop a small team of HR and Payroll professionals.
  • Manage all industrial relations activities including participating in Enterprise Agreement bargaining.
  • Coach and develop leaders in employee performance management practices.
  • Manage reporting and records as required.

You will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business or equivalent.
  • Minimum of eight years HR experience with four years managing an HR department.
  • Minimum of eight years’ experience applying Australian employment and industrial relations legislation.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience negotiating Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, plus experience as part of a senior leadership team and supporting a senior executive manager.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and knowledge of payroll systems.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time, occasionally at short notice.
