POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Workshop Supervisor is to manage and prioritise the schedule of work within the Perth, WA operation whilst supervising the Employees within the Workshop and Stores areas to best meet Customer requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Ensure that all employees comply with current safety policies and procedures
  • Monitor and control the performance of employees
  • Ensure that all work is performed to a high standard to produce a high quality product for the customer
  • Ensure that all employees engage in housekeeping duties to ensure a safe working environment for all
  • Manage the allocation of components work in progress
  • Monitor and control overtime requirements in consultation with the Operations Manager
  • Implement systems to improve workflow through the workshop
  • Ensure that machinery and equipment is maintained
  • Compliance with audit procedures
  • Conduct regular safety observations with workshop employees

Position will be required to make decisions that will directly impact the company.

H-E Parts International Employees

Branch Managers

Suppliers

Customers

Industry specialists and advisory groups

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

 

  • 3-5 years experience in similar position
  • Knowledge of current OH&S legislation and best practice.
  • Able to plan, develop and maintain electronic and paper-based filing systems.
  • Able to work in busy conditions, subject to tight timeframes and with competing demands.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft products, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Pronto Database or ERP system.

 

 

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS

 

Certificate or Diploma in Management

Absolute discretion in dealing with confidential matters.

Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

Good organisational skills.

Good written and oral skills.

High level of initiative and judgment.

Ability to work with a wide range of people and communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Commitment to quality and the concepts of continuous improvement.

Willingness to work additional hours to meet the demands of the role.

Ability to travel when required.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving objects (materials handled and transported throughout the plant via cranes, fork trucks and other employees).
