H-E parts International Mining Solutions is seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter to join their workshop team based in Paget. This is a Monday to Friday role.  Are you a trade qualified diesel fitter with component rebuild experience and want to work in a spacious purpose-built workshop with industry specific tooling to safely carry out tasks?

Due to growth in the Engines Division, there is a need for Diesel Fitters to do engine rebuild work in our Paget facility. All work is carried out in a spacious purpose-built workshop with industry specific tooling to safely carry out tasks.

 

The successful applicant must possess the following:

  • Must have an Australian (or recognised) diesel fitting qualification with 3 to 5 years experience;
  • Equipment rebuild experience;
  • Introductory to intermediate computer skills;
  • Understand Safe Operating Procedures;
  • Strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work in a ‘workshop’ environment;
  • Ability to work individually or in a team environment;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Current drivers licence;
  • Strong commitment to WHS Policies and procedures is essential;
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to use equipment, tools and machinery as required in a safe manner and develop knowledge of the use and maintenance of workshop equipment;
  • Be willing to undertake pre-employment medical

Favourable skills/experience:

  • Current High Risk forklift licence;
  • Knowledge in industrial component rebuild.

Essential Functions and responsibilities:

  • Familiarisation with all available job-related information (scopes of work, maintenance manuals, assembly instructions, parts lists etc).
  • Disassemble and rebuild items in a safe, efficient, and timely manner.
  • Record disassembly and assembly information as required or as detailed in scopes of work/job routes.
  • Supply relevant information to enable the Branch Manager or Salesperson to provide a costing for the customer.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to standards and practices.
  • Compliance with OHS requirements.
  • Ensure special processes are carried out to specification.
  • Notify supervisor of any nonconformance.
