    The purpose of this position is to oversee all HR Operations for the North American division.  Will directly handle Canadian HR and oversee the Payroll/Benefits Specialist for North America and the HR Business Partner for USA.  Provides oversight and accountability for achievement of Human Resources objectives and KPI’s throughout North America.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Safety – conduct all activities in a safe manner, utilizing PPE and adhering to company policy and alerting others regarding potential concerns. Safety is # 1. Support and implement HR Strategy for division, working closely with Global VP of HR, divisional leadership and Senior Operations team.  Ensure division adheres to global HR strategy in all areas. Work closely with HR staff, providing direction and guidance to both HR and non-HR professionals in their HR related duties. Implement Talent Acquisition program and support global TA strategy.  Implement Employer Branding that supports talent acquisition initiatives for North America region.  Ensure standardization of employment agreements. Comply with and support global Compensation and HRIS system initiatives and maintenance.  Ensure integrity, accuracy and security of employee data, and reporting.  Ensure monthly and periodic reporting is accurate and timely to global HQ. Implement performance rewards and measures that mirror the global programs. Support organizational succession planning and identify leader talent for future HEPI and parent company needs. Recommend, coordinate and develop appropriate training and staff/leadership development opportunities in order to ensure future growth needs for the organization are met.  Coordinate and communicate such programs with HQ. Participate in Risk Management and Compliance Committees to protect the organization from risks. Manage and develop Payroll/Benefits Specialist and USA HR Business Partner.  All other responsibilities as required and expressed by Global VP of HR, HEPI.

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    A Bachelors Degree in Business, HR, or related field is required.  Masters Degree is preferred.  Professional Certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP) is required. Fluent in Spanish and English Minimum eight years generalist experience in HR, with a minimum of two years of department management experience. Valid passport and a valid drivers license is required Ability to travel up to 40%. Workday HRIS experience preferred
